Egyptian President of 1966 shrugs off the radical Islam – it crept in anyway.

Taking us back to 1966 we hear a speech by the then president of Egypt joke about the ridiculousness of government enforced sharia law.  As he tells the story of his negotiations with the Muslim Brotherhood, the crowd was very amused at the thought that these fanatics would gain this type of influence over their country.  Sadly, they did just that, and not only in Egypt, but all over the middle east.  All the people of the middle east have paid the price for their own naivety, but no more than the mothers, wives, and daughters who are forced to give devotion to Islam as others see fit.  If devotion is forced, its oppression.
